IYMP 2-Page Overview

The IYMP 2-pager is an information document that provides an overview of IYMP, its mission and vision, its positive impacts, and where it’s been and where it’s going. This is a great resource to share to people interested in joining or helping out the program.

IYMP Postcard

The IYMP post-card is an information document that provides an overview of IYMP, its mission and vision, its benefits and participants’ experiences with the program. This is a great resource to share to those who may be interested in learning more about the program

IYMP Readiness Tool

The IYMP team crafted this readiness tool to help kickstart thinking points and questions to consider when trying to start up IYMP in your community or school.

Traditional Games Activity Cards

The Alberta Native Friendship Centres Association and the Be Fit For Life Network collaborated on this project to share traditional games with our partners in Alberta.
The resources are designed to support the sharing of these games with children, youth, and families. The games in the resources link traditional culture and values to physical literacy and fundamental movement skills. Use these cards and lesson plans to communicate the history and culture of traditional games and note how the skills and values are still important today.

Still I Rise

Still I Rise is a free one-day opportunity hosted by Ever Active Schools for Indigenous youth, educators and community members to learn, connect and share. This event is free to attend and hosted virtually.

Social Emotional Shuffle Cards

The Social and Emotional Shuffle cards include activities, prompting questions and conversation sparkers. When incorporated throughout the year, students develop their social and emotional skills through active and engaging ways.

This resource can be used with early, middle and later years students. It is also available in French.

The Wellness Resource Hub

The Wellness Resource Hub is a collection of existing and new resources to address and support Indigenous children and youth’s mental and emotional wellness.

The Wellness Resource Hub aims to be a starting point that facilitates knowledge exchange and sharing across communities and Nations.

Mentor Manual

The Mentor manual is the toolkit for High School Mentors and Program Leaders that contains teachings on the Circle of Courage and the 4Rs and houses a wide array of activities and resources to help with program implementation.
